Healthly Food and Snacks

The menus for all children are based on healthy options. Snacke is provided for those children who arrive between 9.30am to 9.45am.  Lunch is served from11.50am to 12.30pm.
We provide a rolling morning snack for children who feel hungry, it usually consists of seasonal fruits, water and milk. It promotes children’s independence and a choice if they feel peckish or not.
The nursery works closely with the College chefs, everything is freshly made onsite. We provide a nutritious homemade meal. We cater for dietary requirements, cultural food choices, allergies, and fussy eaters. There’s a veggie alternative every day of the week, and we carefully highlight any allergens on all our menus. We share our daily menu on the information board, so you can see at what your child’s been eating.

The nursery welcomes all children regardless of their ethnic, cultural or religious background and aims to meet each individual need. Most of our staff hold a Paediatric First aid.

If a child suffers from a known allergy, parents must declare it on the registration form, as well as providing with the GP or specialist doctor’s note confirming the allergies. We are committed to do anything we can to ensure the child’s needs are catered for, including making all possible adjustments to our menus.

All dietary needs due to religious reasons will be always respected and catered for.

Requirements based on food preferences or parent’s wishes will not be encouraged, as this might have a significant, long-term impact in developing children’s selective eating habits.
