The nursery has two floors, the first floor has 4 play rooms, each of the ground floor rooms have adjacent gardens, the second floor has two additional play rooms.
Our outdoor environments are places where our young children and Babies can learn about the wider world, they provide challenge and promote adventure and exploration, even for the youngest children.
Ratio: 1 adult for every 3 children under 2 years old
We can accommodate up to 12 babies per day. The age range is from 3 months to 16 months. In blossom babies we work with the child’s routine, but when they move into twinkle stars, they adapt into the nursery routine.
Parents are asked to provide nappies, wipes, cream and any comforters.
Ratio: 1 adult for every 3 children under 2 years old, or 1 adult for every 4 children over 2 years old
We can accommodate 12 children per day. The age range is from 16 months to 24month*.
Ratio: 1 adult for every 4 children
We can accommodate 16 children per day in the Busy Bees Room. The age range is 2 to 3* years old.
Ratio: 1 adult for every 8 children
We can accommodate 20 children per day in the Panda Room. The age range is 3 to 5 years.
*Children may stay 2-3 terms in their rooms.
Children’s safety is our priority in baby room, this allows children to f play and learn in a safe environment with suitable resources while at the same time striking the balance between risk taking and challenging their own abilities to build on their existing skills.
We provide a safe, environment with correct adult-to child ratios which encourages the best opportunities for your child’s development. With experienced staff and appropriate learning resources we can ensure that the we create an ideal environment for babies to strive.
Working in partnership with parents/carers is vital for effective holistic learning and development for our babies, by building relationships with the child and family through the key persons system and become the bridge between nursery and home.

Blossom Babies Room Ethos
Twinkle Stars children from 18 months – 2 years staff believe that Providing a happy, caring atmosphere where children and staff feel safe and secure is very important. We encourage our per-toddlers to develop and learn through play by meeting their natural curiosity and growing energy with sensory resources to develop their tactile skills.
Engaging with the outdoor environment we aim to provide vast opportunities to engage in outdoor activity, this is also supported by our forest school. Each child is a unique individual, that is ready and able to learn, as a result we endeavour to provide them with excellent early childhood experiences that is critical to their learning and development.

The Panda Room
The Pandas room are children from the ages of 3 – 4 ½ and half, they are courageous, social little people that are very energetic and enjoy the flow of learning through play freely. At this stage our children are independent, learners and are able to make choices of their own interest of how their learning is going to be tailored by their key persons.
The Early Years Foundation Stage is at the forefront of the curriculum in the Pandas room. We develop our under-fives in preparation for school, where they will reach their Early Learning Goals. We encourage and provide Social & creative skills thinking and intellectual development, Computer ICT skills, numbers, pre-writing skills, mathematical skills, messy play, art and craft activities, sand and water play and the children will do simple baking activities.
Most importantly the Early Years Educators are mindful not forgetting their needs to enjoy what they are doing. Learning through play encourages our children to become lifelong learns We have a large outdoor garden where we have forest school digging area, mud kitchen and a range of other resources to develop our children’s physical development. We provide plenty of valuable information on our children’s progress in all the seven areas of learning these are

Your child’s Learning Journal is available electronically showing our assessment of your child’s current development. We encourage all parents to input in their own experiences outside of nursery as well. We prepare information which we pass on to your chosen school when the time comes. Partnership working between staff, parents and careers through emailing, meetings, workshops, coffee morning, graduation celebrations, fun-day, outing and fundraising activities. Inclusive practice creates an opportunity, to ensure that every child is included and supported.
