I have been working with young children for 24 years and have been in my current position as nursery manager, for over 3 years. I am also a SENCO and the Designated Safeguarding Lead. I hold a Diploma in Childcare and Education and a BA in Early Years. I love the different facets of my role from being part of a wider team of professionals to letting my inner child out to play. No day is the same!  In my spare time, I enjoy being out and about, keeping fit and reading.

I am currently studying for a Foundation Degree in Early Years, having completed my Level 3 apprenticeship at New City College. Throughout my training I have attended four different placement settings, where I have gained experience working with children aged 6 months to 4 years. Through my placements, I have gained a great deal of experience and knowledge of children and child development and have been able to extend both practical and theoretical knowledge. Outside of work, I take part in activities that help me relax and focus on my personal health and wellbeing. This includes keeping fit, reading, painting and enjoy combining my love for photography with my interest in music.

I became a permanent member of staff at the nursery in 2003, having spent the previous year in a temporary role. This is such a rewarding job! I love being able to teach children something new and watching the twinkle in their eyes when they realise they have achieved something new. I am proud to support other parents by caring for their children whilst they are working or studying and offer so many great learning experiences to them. Outside of work there are many things I love to do, going to the gym, boxing, socialising with my close friends and family, to name just a few.

Hi! I am the baby room leader and have worked in the early years sector for almost 14 years and have achieved an early year’s childhood study degree. My role is to lead the baby room team, where I am responsible for carrying out regular observations, overseeing children’s reviews, meeting with parents, and ensuring that the baby room runs smoothly and meets the needs of all the babies. My favourite thing about my job is that I can see children achieve and develop into confident, lifelong learners. Outside of work I enjoy going to the cinema, listening to gospel music and spending time with my family.

Throughout my career, I have worked in different of Early Years Education sectors, sometimes focusing on community and working with parents/carers.
